Testo Fuel Again

Life after high school was a canyon
ten miles wide and 20 songs long
I trekked the whole thing in a troop
some starved some bled none ever recouped
when I look back
it'd be nice to say
"I found myself along the way"
but the hike hasn't been a disney movie and I'm not a talking lion hero
truth is my life has always been more like something directed by George Romero.
so when I finally stumble onto the finish line
I'm struck stone by what I find
I stand all amazed
at a massive grave site
my life was all staged
I thought I was a pioneer
but every corpse is screaming out
"there's hope again...
there's fuel again...
a fleeting chance...
a closed window with no pane"
