Today, I had a lonely day
Saw a movie, it was just ok
And I got a call from someone I didn't want to hear from
And I got a call from my mom

Built some shelves, and I played with my cats
Put shit on my shelves, we built them with rocks and slats
And my brother came over, and he had some smokes And we read some 'zines and watched my soaps

And I went out to buy some oj but I bought some beers instead
It was a lonely day, a famous day, but the critics won't understand
